Theirs alot of religious influence in Soulfly's music. Max is a devoted Christian. On the original Soulfly albums i got it says 'dedicated to God' on the back. * +

He's not christian, he's sort of against religious establishments if I've understood right. He's just very spiritual and takes influences from different religions. * +

I have a cd called Mabool - The Story Of The Three Sons Of Seven by Orphaned Land who are from Israel (not an Arab country but a fifth of the population are descended from Arabs). Great metal with harsh and clean vocals, progressive and classical elements,as well as traditional Middle Eastern music. Amazing album * +
