i think they're two different genres and dt do covers as tribute to their fav bands and to add complex tecniques (what they're good at).. imo * +

DT have covered many albums from Pink Floyds Dark Side of the Moon to Maiden so its not exclusive to Maiden...that said,DT for me again,theyre way more interesting than Maiden,Maiden are rather one dimensional * +

Dream Theater are good but Maiden are just gods! I can listen to Dream Theater for a few hours but i can listen to Maiden for weeks non stop * +
