I just want to have a rant about artists releasing deluxe editions of albums. James blunt, rhianna, duffy, leona lewis, coldplay have all recently re-released albums with a couple of extra songs added. I think its scandalous to expect fans to buy the same cd again just for a couple of new tracks, no wonder illegal downloading is thriving. What are ur thoughts? Would u buy the deluxe editions? * +

It's not the artists choice though, is it? Why do you think Iron Maiden has three compilation albums with the same stuff out? * +

I know its not the artists choice, there are loads of examples of compilations with the same stuff on, but i just think its a bit s**t to release the exact same album repackaged again within the space of a year * +

Some of the major labels like it as the idea was that these 'added value' packages would STOP illegal downloading as punters would rush to purchase the extra track/s that aren't available for download - forgetting that any naughty person who uploads the original could also up the extra tracks... * +

If I'm a fan of that band then yes I'd buy it, especially if it's an old album and I haven't got it yet, or if it's a re-mastered version.. *
