A mobile phone or an ipod/mp3 player is fine for listening with a pair of sony/shure/skullcandy earphones when you out or on a long bus journey but when you listen to high quality cd albums on high end headphones and audio gear theres a huge difference in sound quality. * +

The n96 dosent have burr brown d/a converters in it. Neither does an ipod/mp3 so its not going to sound any where near as good as a high end cd player. * +

never really had much to do with earphones, but the ones that come with sony ericsson walkman phones are by far the best I've used, kicked the a*se off the 60odd quid closed cup headphones I had a while back * +
