Genesis without Gabriel and Marillion without Fish are ok, but The Jam without Weller or Queen without Mercury is a bit different....The 2 last bands were based mainly on these persons_Weller/Mercury_so they dont ''say'' many things without them.... * +

No, Purple is a unique case, probably is the only band that it recorded landmark albums with all the musicians they passed from this band, about 16. I really believe that this band is one of the 10 best bands ever in rock history. If you have 40 albums / 448 tracks in 54 discs, 51 hours, 9 minutes, 41 seconds of Deep Purple music, plus many DVD/video lives and a 4 times personal live experience with this band, you know im right * +
