Satriani is ok. I like some of his melodies. He aint unpleasent to listen to. Steve vai is opposite of that. * +

Slash, kirk hammett, john petrucci, jimi hendrix, carlos santana, angus young, malcolm young, ywingie malmsteem, joe satriani, bob dylan, brian may, etc all excellant guitarists but to say one is better than the rest is just your opinion. The best guitarists is who you think it is

To be honest john petruccis guitar work is more complex than any others.. And they got soul in them. Listen to suspended animation album. No song sounds alike in it. Every song is completely different from the other. No other guitarist has yet produced an album which u dont get enough how much u listen it.. I.M.O * +
