Yes the Z6 can be modded, it's a new story though, you'll learn a bit of linux. The FM radio is great, very user friendly (on E6 is and I suppose is the same on Z6). The sound on head phones (3.5 mm jack) when on maximum, you don't hear anything that is happening around you, and on speaker is already loud enough, but of course you can mod(ify) it. * +
