The train door could have opened, and i would fall out. Me being a know it all boy, yet at same time knew nowt! Said, oh, it was okay, i was holding onto the door tightly mummy! (anyway the doors could only be opened from the outside, and these days only from the drivers cab... I much preferred secondary school, and liked the teachers. .I didnt skive off, the school still stands, and was used as a community centre up to 4 years ago,the playground has been a carpark for some years now, . * +

The school building is now on the market for something like 890 thousand. But the rooms need major refurbishment, there are 14 rooms, and needs re roofing after being left go for lots of years. Hope that someone can afford it and save it. Its a lovely old building. Passmore and Edwards Science and Art School. Goes back many years. *
