Hi guys. So I've had my iPad 4 for over a month now, I put it into one of those griffin covers with a magnetic screen flip cover the same day I got it, but I'm now finding it easier to hold and handle without the cover, so I just want to know how the rest of you are using your iPads? Is it really necessary to have a cover? Thanks. * +

I have mine in a cover that fully encloses the iPad. The top opens to touch the screen and there are openings for the ports and buttons. The iPad is a beutifully made and heavy bit of kit so it's worth protecting it from knocks and scratches. * +

I see your point. Thing is, I've always been anti cover with all my gadgets, everyone of them has a cover sitting somewhere that I got then took off, I just like using the thing the way it was built, but I do see your point, and a part of me is worried that if I drop it its over with the screen, but this thing is great to use without the cover, it feels super lite and slim yet so solid. * +

Use a folio cover with my Mini. Has the magnet feature so when I close and open it it puts it in an out of sleep mode * +

As you haven't been a fan of covers for your other devices then I don't really think you'll need one for one specific device.Have you ever had any damage caused to your other devices by dropping them or something?your probably more aware of the dangers than most other users as your not used to using the protective covers which I honestly believe would make you more pr0ne to having a clumsy accident.....What's up with the word pr0ne?... * +

Never had any serious damages on any of my gadgets from dropping or water, only faults are those others faced e.g. Failure of USB due to poor manufacturing, other than that, none, I've owned a Samsung Galaxy Tab10.1 for almost 2years without a cover, so think I should be fine, I'll use the cover when I travel, as its flap acts as a stand. * +

Just a magnetic light cover protection but mainly as a stand, I don't like holding it, even in bed it props it up at a better angle for typing and viewing * +

Sounds like a plan to me....why try fixing something when it's not broken. You obviously appreciate the value of your goods to the point of taking care with them so if the cover feels awkward to you then keep it off as your more liable to have an accident while it's on. * +
