Returned a Nexus 7 that has developed a fault after a week and a half, and decided to pay the extra and got an iPad Mini instead. Gonna ask the same as I asked in the 'droid forum when I got the Nexus - am I best installing anti-virus, and if so which would peeps reccomend? I do know iOS is more secure than Android. Apologies if this is a daft question, but the Nexus was my first foray into tablets, and the Mini is my first iOS devicd. Thanks. * +

Nope, no need for anti virus, in fact I don't even know if there are anti virus apps in AppStore, lol. * +

Not even for browsing? Haven't even unboxed it yet. Had to go out again for a while and I'm knackered cos I didn't sleep that well. Couldn't settle cos I was concerned if the Nexus discharged it could have caused another glitch that would have made it tricky to turn back on lol * +

And anothe q...how long is the inital fresh out the box charge likely to take? Been told 6-8 hours for a full charge Apologies for the nooby questions lol I'd rather give it a full charge before setting it up. Don't wanna plug it in and find I have to set it up right away, not while I'm this tired * +

The charge will be more than enough to set it up and use it for a bit, well mine was. * +

What plzgvhug said nod ,my iPad had around 78percent charge in it at 1st boot up, more than enough to set up, download apps and get used to the OS. * +

It was at 85 pc...asked a PSN friend who's an iOS user and he's reccomended letting it run down to below 20 pc before charging.... My intial verdict....Beats the Nexus 7 by a landslide. iOS my be a little less flashy...but it's soooo easy to use. Me a happy Apple user. Never ever thought I'd be saying that lol * +

I don't use words like Awesomesauce as a rule either...but that's what the Mini is....the prices of cases were a joke though....so ordered one from Amazon for a tenner, with the magnet, a built in stand and a stylus.....though I've got 2 useless Nexus 7 cases now lol But sod it. I only got 3 paid apps on it, so lost a fiver. But the Play Store was missing loads of things I wanted. My Andrioid buds hate me now though lmao * +
