I would say its a little bit better it hasn't improved my signal strength but it doesn't cut out as much * +

the iphone 4 had an issue with reception because of the frame it was built around and there were many complaints. apple solved this problem in the 4S. but obviously the carrier or network also has some impact with any phone regardless of its design. * +
