Why is it that video streaming YouTube etc is faster on 3G than with wifi for me? But browsing and loading web pages is faster on wifi *

And I'm not talking just a slight difference but huge it's very sluggish at times on wifi so now I tend to switch wifi off for videos then it just zooms through, but on the laptop wifi is great, fortunately I have a few gigs on my phones data to use even though I don't need it much but it's just something that's bugging me *
