if you can unlock it, it will work with any network anywhere. as phones differ from carrier to carrier make sure verizon iphone is quad band supported. not every phone support gsm,ev-do rev and cdma. * +

Even though the iPhone 4S has a dual-mode CDMA/GSM chipset, ATnT only activates the GSM technology, so you won't be able to swap over to a CDMA network like Verizon or Sprint in US or Reliance in India unless you unlock it properly. Verizon operate on CDMA network so Verizon bound iPhone 4S's dual GSM/CDMA chip makes it a world phone. I don't own an iPhone now, had one before. so ask the experts here if unlock for that particular os version is out. * +

usually ultrasnow unlock every modem. but did you checked the os version of that phone? does ultrasnow support 5.0.1? if yes u can use any sim, reliance cdma or gsm must work. * +
