iphone isn't that bad, it's pretty comparable to a series 40 phone tea just that its foolish on the part of Steve Jobs to call it a phone that's 'Smart'. tea.gif * +

the release of iphone was also a defining moment, an end of an era, where the biggest supporter of stand alone music players, the creator of ipod himself accepted that future now belongs to converged devices by himself launching a converged phone+music device. it was like saying 'Ipod's days are numbered'. tea * +

Its a nice looking and user friendly device. But if apple do not wish to add the repuired features that is expected in a high end smartphone then they need to reconsider the pricepoint of the product. Or people will go elsewhere. You pays your money you takes your choice. * +

Apple have just stated the reason for not including 3g on the current model. They say: we did not incorporate 3g on the iphone because we believed it would create a battery life issue. Although they havnt given a reason for the other ommisions as yet. I suspect the real reason is to do with money like everything nowadays. Its obviously cheaper to not include 3g compatibility. * +

And if they can get away with it with clever marketing they will. After all it does what it says on the tin abeit a bit slower. But they exist for one reason only to make money how ever obvious it may sound * +
