Thoroughly enjoying this. Reviews have savaged this game when its actually pretty good. The russians made this particular installement which sees convict Murphy Pendelton escape a crash after being transported to another prison. Of course, this leads to him ending up in silent hill which leads to the usual creepy antics but this time with a difference * +

For starters. The lighting looks much better. Character controls easier and the combat is smoother and best of all, invert has been fixed after homecoming's controls stayed on default. The whole game feels different. It feels larger. The main character looks bigger and not a tiny figure on screen.There are now moral choices which clearly affect the games story such as the choice to save the warden or let her die. * +

Side missions have been introduced, altho i've not played any this should be a welcome change, weapons are more varied now. Ranging from wrenches, rocks to guns and more which i noticed can now be thrown and reused. Still really haven't played that much and been told the first half of the game is slow but really kicks off after that. * +

From what i've seen this is gonna be more like the film then classic silent hill. The gas mask cults and more rural feeling coupled with countryside gives it a fresh outlook and if i dont see one hospital, school or hotel i'll be a happy man. So far i'd give this an 8/10 but that's because i'm a silent hill fan * +
