the combat feels too one dimensional and the block system only works when not in actual combat, I hope to see a more free flowing combat system in the sequel with a fluid dodge and block system in place. a good example would be Dante's inferno combat and Alice style dodging. * +

The block and dodge work fine. It's a standing block, ya just can't block while moving, but then ya don't need to. Combat in Darksiders is no more 'one dimentional' than in Dante's Inferno or God of War, and much more fluid. Using multiple weapons and switching attack methods is a breeze... Like switching between the Chaoseater, Scythe or Mercy, and using the gadgets. Vital in Apocalyptic, find I'm using eviromental weapons much more too in a pinch * +

its limited and very one b*tton bashing at times and the block system needs to be more involved. no good using a block if you have to come to full halt to initiate it, anyway, its been years since I played it, I still had gr8guy tv then * +
