A report on Siloconera is saying that Techland have coined the Dead World trademark, strongly suggesting that a bigger, bloodier sequel to Dead Island is in the works. In spite of the fact that Techland put out the wrong version of the game on release day, Dead Island ended up doing quite well. although the game will not make use of the entire globe, it strongly suggests that it will make good use of the 'dead world' name by giving players a more expansive world to play with. no confirmation as such but it would seem silly of Techland not to employ a sequel considering how good the first was * +

as for guns, it'll be likely they'll be more due to the military presence. as long as it doesn't ruin the overall feel, dead world with guns is just another name for left for dead 3 and will be . Dead island would of been a dull, short lived adventure if it had just guns, I prefer melee weapons anyway, * +
