I wanted to like Paradise...but I hated the 'drive to so-and-so' to start a race....it was tedious. Driver San Francisco gets that aspect spot on imo....yeah ya can free roam if ya want....or ya can just use Shift and fly to where ya need to trigger the misson * +

I didn;t find it a problem with burnout, just considered it a part of the game much like every GTA. The fact that there was always plenty of missions to do and so you were never too far away from one, and that the map was also never THAT massive you couldn;t reach one inside a couple minutes was fine. San andreas was far far worse, but it never put me off. Sometimes it would take 10 minutes * +

I like arcade racers for a quick fix.....and when ya lack a sense of direction driving to a race start is a bit annoying
I just missed being able to just jump in to the event I wanted.....Hot Pursuit got the balance right too....though it's Free Roam was only good for taking photos....don't think ya could even get into a police chase. * +

Awful game. Drive, trigger, cooldown, trigger, cooldown and repeat. Criterion made one good racer this gen, that was hot pursuit. * +
