Nintendo have redesigned the Wii, slimmer but ALL backwards compatability with Gamecube games and hardware is gone out the window....so be warned, if ya get a Wii soon and want to keep playing your Gamecuber games...keep the Gamecube. Plus ya will have to fork out for a classic controller if ya want a more traditonal pad. Seems a tad silly releasing a new one now....but that's Nintendo for ya.... * +

Nintendo of Europe have confirmed that the current Wii is being phased out and they'll be concentrating on the new Wii...someone ought to tell em they should be concentrating on the 3DS....I * +

The whole point of a console redesign is to encourage sales and save manufacturing costs mid-cycle....releasing one when a console is dying on it's a*se is just stupid.... * +

Except Wii made a profit from day 1, unlike other consoles, and also sold massively, unlike other consoles... * +
