OnLive will launch in the UK on 22 September, the company has announced. The streaming gaming service enables subscribers to play games over a broadband connnection, without the need for a traditional console or DVDs. OnLive has been up and running in the US for over year now. * +

Games can be played through PC and Mac, iPad and Android tablets and by using OnLive's dedicated set top box and controller combo, which connects directly to an HDTV. Using a PC or a tablet incurs no cost other than the subscription fee, while the box and controller retail for 99.99. The UK price has yet to be finalised. * +

OnLive has announced that over 100 games will be available to play at launch, with many games available at the same time they launch on console and PC. OnLive has yet to announce pricing for the UK but has said there wil be a variety of payment plans available. * +

sounds po*p why would you want to play games on a tablet or ipad bleh also for games on a pc get steam and on a hdtv well connect your pc to your tv as a monitor? im sure some people will like the idea but i gotta say doesnt sound like much new for me seeing as i dont have a tablet * +
