howzit guys ,just got a boxset ,ran through the steam setup and all,now ive tried to launch the game,and its teln me theres 7+hours i gota wait b4 game laucheswtf,and it keeps counting down/up and eating massive amounts of data,since i waitd 30min and thot by then itl b ready,y?is this normal?y wait i wana play nw!the game should be ready instantly,whats going on here ? if this is normal and happens evrytime i wana start a game than this is a big fail... * +

Yeah, I've bought some games that are a couple years old, if you install from disc the updates can often be as large as the entire game... On a slow connection this can take a while... You can choose a different server for updates in Steam preferences, choose the closest to your location or one that is less popular if that's particularly slow... Here in the UK I often get better download speeds using the Ireland server. * +

Yeah I had similar after getting Left 4 Dead 2 in the sale. I got 15gb a month in data use. Game was 7.5gb to download. Then patched a couple of times. Next thing I get messages saying data limit has been reached... * +

downloading isnt a prob,was just wandarin why it took so lng,wil have to dload then,no choice,got 3mre gigs to dload so mehnewbed *
