My ps3 got ylod today and sony want to charge me 150 pounds to get it fixed as it's out of warrenty. So might be getting a new one instead. Is there a way to transfer game saves to my new ps3 it's a 60 gig by the way? * +

Only way is though the PS3 that now doesn't work lol. Putting your old HDD in a new PS3 won't work, you will have to format it. Only other way would be if you had PSN+ so your saves would have been uploaded to the cloud. * +

You are screwed. Even with paying them to fix it, they'll just send you a refurb. all you can really do is learna lesson about backup up your saves on USB in future. At least its also possible for some games to download saves from the net close to where you were. Other stuff with locked saves again though, its gone * +

No ones needs a cloud system. They just need a cr*ppy cheap USB or better yet an external drive with a full on backup on it. I have both. Who doesn't? * +
