I've jus bought an external harddrive 2 copy my music n film files from my ps3,does any1 know what 2 do?when i connect it 2 pc 2 format it 4 ps3 it only gives me NTSF(default) n exFAT.th hardrive i bought is made by iomega. * +

wat is swiftknife?i cnt get a refund on th hardrive i cn only take it bak if its faulty n they exchange it 4 a new 1 so im bak 2 square 1.th guy in game said format it 2 exFAT32 on my pc but only option i get 4 formatting is NTFS n exFAT so i tried exFAT n it stil doesn't work wiv ps3,doesn't even show its connected,wen i put a sd card in my usb card reader n plug it in it does n i can copy files but i have a lot of music n films saved on th ps3. * +

Start, type 'run' hit enter, then 'cmd' hit enter, type 'format /FS:FAT32 X:' replace the X with whatever letter is a55 igned to your external drive and hit enter... Don't put C

Swiftknife is just has a easy gui for formatting a drive to FAT32. Its to be used under windows obviously. Just Google it :-). Or just try newt's way * +
