The backwards compatability is better on the PS3 for PSone, than it was on the original PS2, although a few issues with compatability were sorted with the slim PS2... Still, backwards compatability for me isn't a choice I'd take, considering I keep all my consoles throughout their years until they break and I tear them down for parts. *
