i saw some great deals on 2nd hand gba and nds games. mine was bought in europe. so what i wanna know is, can it play games from america? is there also a region like with other consoles (pal and ntsc)? *

Nope. Though the DSi is, partly. And some later DS games with DSi enhanced features are known to be but the will work in the DS and DS lite ok. The 3DS is region locked. *
