Hi. I dont play HL2 over the internet so i decided to uninstall steam.. then as i tried to launch the game i got this: steamstartup() failed: failed to open gfc archive: C:Program filles/steamapps/source engine.gfc, make sure its available and decrypted. what do i do? * +

and there isnt even a folder named steamapps now.. its named steam. argh! * +

So you missed the bit on the back of the box or whatever that says you must have a steam account active to play this game....
reinstall everything again. Its your fault. * +

i didnt bought it, i cracked it :) its not my fault, in fact, if i dont want to play over the net, y should i use some kind of app that tries to connect to the net? * +

or just rename the steam directory to steamapps * +
