I doubt many here will care about this, but I think it's huge and will make the 360 the ultimate console. Microsoft Silverlight is much like Adobe Flash, but better in many ways, it is also programming language for Windows Phone 7. Silverlight is a write once run anywhere thing, that means, whatever you create in Silverlight, should work across every Silverlight compatible device. Now, imagine.... * +

..if this rumor is true, all Silverlight applications will be able to run on the 360, it won't be just a gaming machine anymore. Windows Phone 7 applications would work on the 360, all the arcade games, all the applications from the PC. The 360 would basically walk over the competition. This could be a huge thing, and the 360 got the RAM to make this work. * +

I also think Sony will find it difficult to compete here. They have become a company that follows, they no longer lead you kow what i mean? They could have done something similar, but it's going to be difficult now. The application business is a huge deal, it enhances your device with new features etc. MIX 11 is next week, should be interesting stuff * +
