Yeah, I had the same problem. Had me totally baffled for ages. And had to unplug from the mains. As laity said because your controllers plugged in. Even if its at full charge (the controller) fans will keep running,till you unplug the controller FROM the usb port (Contined...) * +

At this stage,when you switched off the 360, fans are still running, as stated above unplug the controller from usb port. Wierd,but the fans will switch off after 2-5mins. * +

So no,i wouldnt be worried. Its obvious that the system/gpu chip r waeva wil totally shut down after being switchd off. But,I used this 'technique with the fans' after I gamed, to keep passing the heat through. :) * +

Yeah,i used to have my downloads set to 'carry on after switch off' but,i was like wtf? Am nt downloading any demos r waeva. But yeah,let it run for a bit after switch off,and then just yank out the usb to controller. Tried and tested. And cooled down alot quicker, and not locked all the heat in instead. * +

had the same thing ages ago and yeah it were using a controller via usb.try not turning the xbox off by the b*tton on front of console an by using the switch off console option.it helped me i remember *
