This is a Flight Sim, developed by Monster games for the Nintendo 3DS. The first thing you notice about this game is its graphics, they are fantastic for a handheld. At times, they look even better than Wii Sports Resort, which part of that game formed the basis for this one. * +

It is set on Wuhu Island, its the same island as Wii Sports Resort, so if you have played that you will know the location. Its not the largest location, but theres still plenty to see. The main chunk of this game is the Mission Mode, you fly a choice of vehicles and you are set various tasks such as flying through a trail of rings, collecting balloons and landing a plane. * +

One of the more fun missions has you in a squirrel suit gliding down a mountain path. Depending on how well you do, you get between 1 and 3 stars, and for a perfect score your stars get a red outline and that means you can get a higher than maximum score on that mission. * +

There are a few difficulty levels, from Training, up to Platinum. And a few secret vehicles to access (the Squirrel Suit is only available in Mission Mode) Theres a ''Free Flight'' mode, but its hardly that. You start with 2 minutes to fly around the island, collecting balloons. For every 20 balloons you collect, you get an extra 30 seconds on the timer * +

(this is a permanent increase) so for collecting all the balloons you get to fly with 5 minutes (why they couldnt have an unlimited free flight mode, i really dont know) there are also ''i'' symbols to get. These are locations that give you information about the island. * +

The vehicles you can fly are the normal plane, the Rocket Belt (a jetpack) and the hanglider. As you use different vehicles in missions you can also use them in Free Flight. The extra vehicles are a jet plane, a pedal bike glider and a super rocket belt. In Free Flight its fun to just fly around and enjoy the views. * +

This game is possibly the best 3DS launch game, it has great graphics and its a lot of fun. Having not played the previous Pilotwings games i cant say if this is better, but its a fantastic game for a relaxing fly about. * +
