Mario is opening up another theme park, Miniland. And hes giving away free Mini robots of Pauline to the first 100 visitors. Donley Kong hears about this and wants one, unfortunatly he is 101st in the queue and just misses out. In anger, he kidnaps the real Pauline and its up to Mario to rescue her again. * +

Thats the theme for this, the fourth game in the Mario Vs DK series. The 1st, on the GBA was more of a platform game and it was in the 2nd game, on the DS that it became more of a puzzle game. It has been compared to lemmings, and thats a good way to look at it. You dont control the minis, you manipulate the levels to guide them to the exit gates. * +

Over the course of the series, Nintendo has consistantly shown some great ideas for doing this. The new idea this time, is girders. You guide the Mini Marios (or Peach, or DK and so on) to the exits by placing girders for the minis to follow. * +

Of course, its not as simple as that. You have a limited amount of girder that you can use (you can remove girders, and place them in other places) also, you can only place the girders on the ''Riviets'' that are placed around the levels. * +

Each new world brings new items for the levels, such as springs and conveyor belts. There are 8 worlds to start with, and the 4th level in the worlds is a ''Multigate'' level where you have different minis to guide to different gates. * +

The 8th level of a world is the key level, you have several Mini Marios you have to guide, one of them has a key, and this mini has to reach the exit before the others to unlock it. As you play you collect medals and these will unlock Special levels, and completing the game opens up ''Plus mode'' which is another 8 worlds of extra hard levels. * +

There are over 200 levels in the main game, and then theres the Level Creator. You can make your own levels, and upload them for other players to try, and download their levels. Nintendo also upload a selection of levels regularly too. On top of that, there are regular challenges that require you to create a level that uses a certain theme. * +

This game is great for any puzzle fan, especially fans of the Lemmings games. It gets extremely hectic in the later levels with many minis wandering around it can be hard to keep track of them all especially in Boss levels. Its still a really fun game though. * +
