This is an idea that just popped up in my head, and I think this is the route MS is headed. Recently, MS mentioned how they are planning to put the boom back in PC gaming with Windows 8, so I was thinking, what is the best way to do that? PC gaming isn't dead, but it sure lacks the attention that is given to consoles, also, Windows is the dominant PC gaming platform, MS would definitely want... * +

The best way to this, is to make Windows 8 compatible with the next Xbox, that means, any game created on the platform will work across the PC and the Xbox, doesn't that make sense? The Xbox, of course, will get a customized version of Windows 8 so it won't feel like a PC, thus, preserving the Xbox experience. * +
