Today i am going to compare my friends sanyo 42'' lcd set running mw2 through hdmi againt my Panasonic 28'' crt running the same game through RGB. The first thing i noticed on the lcd set was just how much everything flickered where as on the crt set you get no flickering and a much more solid picture. Second thing i noticed on the lcd set was slowdown, yes thats right, slowdown. . . Pretty often * +

where as on the crt there was no slowdown whatsoever. . . The poor textures looked poor on both tv's but did stand out a lot more on the lcd set. What about sound, well to be honest they both sounded pretty similar. . . Now a few weeks back i did see him play cod 3 and i must say, the detail on the gun was better on the lcd set. . . Oh these games are running on a 360. * +

so is lcd really better than crt? Well you do get a higher resolution with lcd but at the expense of having games flicker and slowdown. . . On crt you get slighty lower resolution but no slowdown and a much more solid picture. . . . Winner of this round. . . The 28'' Panasonic crt * +

smaller screen will always look better. for a better test both tv's need to be the same size * +

when i played mw2 i dont recall having those flickering an slowdown issues, i tell u something i bet if u compared that old crate of a tv u got 2 mine i can a55 ure u ya be chucking that dinosaur on a skip * +
