well, along with rumours from Australia that Sony will be banning console id's, ps3 owners who have installed a new cfw today are finding their consoles to be bricked up to :) serves them right in my opinion. what about you? * +

This isn't true. It's Sony trying to put ppl off pirating. Sony know they are fkd * +

nothing to do with piracy. in any case root key access means you can change the console id on the fly. though there seems to be plenty reason to believe sony cant do much as they don't have a system in place like Microsoft do with the 360 * +

Any console that is detected and confirmed when signing in to psn, basically there is a lot of checks, should just be banned auomatically. So u want to run cfw? Fine, but sony can decide what machines it wants on it service much like the millions microsoft have blacklisted * +

Someone could mod firmware so consoles connect to another server to play online. Could be done, just depends on how far developers will go. Of course the servers would have to be hosted in a country with relaxed laws. * +

Wanna bet lovelite? Even Digital Foundry have said PSN makes a number of checks and Sony can easily detect a if a console is jailbroken and exactly what software is being used on it and what's on the HDD....Fanboy muppet lol * +

Of course. Its a niche though * +
