I just got my GT240 1GB DDR3. In GTA 4 I have a problem. It runs smooth than just stalls and runs smooth again. It repeats this but not at regular intervals just random. I rang up my friend and its doing the same on his and he owns an HD5770. Another friend of mine said its doing the same on his 4870. Processor's aren't the problem here. Does anybody know whats wrong with this game? I ran this... * +

same copy on my PC before and it ran clean. I had XP that time but now I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 32. * +

I know my PC specs can run it so its not my PC. Its the game. Yeah its not only I who has this problem. * +

pause and hault means bottlekneck. run iobots game optomiser and see if it lessens the problem. also run fraps and see what kind of fps you get . if it stays at 30 fps or above then sudenly pauses fraps 2 then reduce the draw distance tab to 1 and see if it happens again. * +

i have ran the game on 3 different configs and never had this problem but then again the cpu has always met minimum spec without overclocking. * +
