If you ask me once any game gets online multiplayer capabilities, it becomes redundant.

split-screen and LAN multiplayer has become archaic. Yet it was possibly the best times I have had when it comes to gaming.

Nowadays everyone I know are playing games online and there is no consistency, they just jump from game to game.

I remember the days where all the guys would gather at a friend's place, everybody would bring their controller over, somebody would bring an extra console in case of LAN battles, order pizza and stay up all nigh playing the classics (halo, Mario kart,Tekken etc).

I know you guys will have differing opinions because you wouldn't necessarily have the experiences I have had, but what do you guys think? do you like that games are becoming either single-player, online multiplayer or both? * +

I don't really play much online but the games I did play online it was fun and didn't make the game redundant it just added more to the game after I finished it * +

I still enjoy single player campaigns. (manicure) And most of the online games i've played were meant to be played online. (killing floor, trackmania, quake live etc.) * +

They have massively failed with elder scrolls online, to buy the game and for a years subscription will cost 130 pounds! I don't think so * +

Online console gaming is generally full of 12 year old kids that think its cool to swear constantly and jobless chavs . Pc gaming on dedicated servers is the way forward . No abuse or bad behavior no cheating etc .If there is its dealt with immediately and everyone can game in peace . * +

it use to be just xbox live but now ps network is just as bad if not worse . Pc gaming online has a much more mature experience . * +
