lookin to buy a surround sound headset for ps4, basically good ones that allow to hear the smallest sound of footstep of shooters. Was lookin at px4 n gold wireless. Any suggestion. Plannin to buy wen on my hold in america. Hopin to pick it up cheap * +

I had a listen to my mates Astro A50s a few weeks ago and I was pleasantly surprised. Don't waste your money on a headset with more than one speaker for each ear. I don't even bother with the 'surround sound' while gaming with my headphones on anymore, the tech (dolby home theatre) is really not that good, I prefer good overall sound instead. * +

That's the thing with surround sound and headphones, it's just software trying to trick your brain into believing the sound is coming from behind you and it doesn't work very well. * +

Dolby pioneered the Surround Sound with stereo headphones trick over ten years ago. Now everybody does it, even Microsoft. If you have a PC, just plug in you normal headphones and go to your audio settings.
BTW. If your fancy surround sound headset does not have at least five plugs, you fell for the gimmick. * +

Yeah, I never knew of a way to make that work in real life. It looks good on paper, but I doubt that it worked for the people that payed too much. * +
