Getting my bro a handheld console for xmas,which would u recommend psp vita or nintendo 3ds?,I'll also be using it to kill some time now and again. naming some of the pros and cons would be helpful,thanx guys! * +

Depends on what games he'll wanna play..... If he likes JRPGs the Vita is worth it for Persona 4 Golden alone IMO..... FF X/10-2 in March too..... I really regret never finishing FF X..... So I'm gonna be snapping that up. Tearaway is supposed to be superb too. Some good cross buy stuff too if he has a PS3/4. The 3DS is great too. * +

I bought Vita last month. First handheld I've owned since the ds lite. The Vita visually s**ts over any other handheld the screen is OLED and has some impressive looking titles to compliment this. Touch on front and back. Several games that use the rear touch like, tearaway and Frobisher says are a nice touch, however, some games thathave utilized this like sound shapes just feel gimmicky and can actually be a pain in the arse. Typical button layout(4 shape buttons, 2 D-pads, select/start, L1 AND R1, PS home button, volume and off) plus your sticks. Feels a bit big in hand and unsafe but after a week or so it feels great. Ive actually not used a proper ps3 controller since because of this,opting for the more 360 looking battlefield 4 controller. PS Vita feels unsafe when I use it on cold mornings on way to work as much hands go girly smooth so invest in a silicon case(99p at the pound shop) * +

PS Vita has a 3mp camera front and back and uses augmented reality features. Certain games like little deviants, Frobisher says or reality fighters are pretty cool. Like playing a fighting game with an actual background was fun but the novelty will wear off for older users. Plus the AR games are limited and not that great. Little deviants being the exception * +

I got a ton of titles for this already. Opted for the mega game pack with 3g and Wi-Fi and a 16gb memory. . This had ten games. Half of which are fking awful. I kept the better ones on there like Frobisher says, Little deviants, wipe out, ecolibrium,ratchet and clank and lbp plus also got Lego marvel which one sold because already own a ps3 version. PlayStation plus is also giving me several games every month... strangers wrath, gravity rush, uncharted, jak trilogy, stealth inc,gta, Thomas was alone to name a few. Plus the discounts too. Ended up with 18 games in the first week * +

I don't actually own one retail game. They're all free or store digital downloads. So make sure you get a big memory. 16 gig should be minimum. I got one with the Vita plus I bought one second hand. I don't know why I bought the 3g model as I haven't used it's sim once. Not even activated it. However, you get wipeout for free when you do so if it's a code then you can have it as I won't need it * +
