Interestingly, Sony have announced it as a PlayStation 3 title, with no mention of a version being available for the upcoming PlayStation 4. With Gran Turismo being the epitome of a console mover, were surprised this isnt launching alongside Sonys next console. Guess its not a reason to get a ps4 yet * +

It was name dropped as a last hurrah for PS3 by a sony executive back in January. Coincidentally, it was 15yrs ago yesterday that the first Gran Turismo was launched. An event celebrated with a Gran Turismo trackday hosted by Sony at Silverstone yesterday. Siverstone has never featured in a GT game but Polyphony digital have made several visits to map and scan the circuit. * +

It wouldn't make sense bringing it out for ps4, with ps3 having such a huge install base, bringing it out on ps3 would not only make it sell like hot cakes but it will help shift even more ps3 consoles, meaning even more sales increase for Sony, ps4 isn't out and if they bring it out as a launch title for ps4 it won't sell as much as it won't be as big as ps3..... Yet. * +

Silverstone is in GT6. I would rather they had moved the whole project onto the next gen but it's too late now. I am pleased there is another GT but also disappointed as it surely means we'll be waiting another 3 years or more to get a proper next gen GT....their development cycles have been too protracted. * +
