To play modern games on decent setting u will need to upgrade, if money is an issue then upgrade ya Gfx and Ram n leave Cpu, you could get something like a GTX560 quite cheap now, your power supply will have to be 500w tho n not a cheap one.. As for Ram that is cheap so get yourself 4gb 1066mhz if ya mobo supports that speed if not 4gb 800mhz * +

With that Cpu and Gpu you will most likely get Medium Settings on most modern Games.. Also get rid of Windows Vista its cr*p go get Windows 7 n Avoid 8 at all costs, its horrible.. One more thing if your going for 4gb ram then u will need a 64bit Windows 7 to allocate all the Ram as 32bit can only read up to 3.4gb i think it is * +
