Source Kotaku: Metal Gear Rising Cancelled for Xbox 360 in Japan.Today, Konami announced that the Xbox 360 version of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance has been slashed, cut, and cancelled. Only the PS3 version will be released in Japan.The studio apologized to those gamers looking forward to the Xbox 360 version, but did not give a reason as to why it had been canned.Konami tells Eurogamer that Rising will still be released on Xbox 360 in the West. * +

As 360 has never caught on there. It is a shame since the westernised versions are coming out. 360 is and has been outselling ps3 for some time in the other territories though. * +

yeah, I can quite easily see that being the reason. Why waste money on publishing a game for a console in a country that is primarily PS3 owners?....smart move in a business sense by Konami.... * +

Plus with its headstart it should be WAY ahead, not just by a couple few million. Then there's the higher failiure rate to take into account for multiple purchases by the same consumer... All conveniently forgotten * +
