...crackdown...a welcome blessing on Xbox 360 for those desperate for a GTA-esque game, crackdown took the basic blueprint and reworked it. Set across three islands, you control an agency clone let loose on a city that has tore itself inside out. As you progress you evolve your basic skills(speed, strength, guns, explosives and driving) by kicking, punching, killing and racing your way around the city. these are just a few of the perks, most notable is the cosmetic attributes that occur on skill increasing, your agent would get bigger and the agency vehicles would transform upon entry. the truck cab for example would turn into a force to be reckoned with making optimus prime look like a matchbox toy or the 4x4 that can climb up buildings and the agency cruiser that spouts miniguns and ramps off other vehicles using its bonnet as a makeshift plow. of course, this is just a silly game for madcap * +

antics and blowing s**t up. the drop in co-op used to add a lot of fun, never being restricted by any boundaries, one agent could be starting out learning the ropes in easytown whilst a more advanced player would be kicking a*se in the big lead. the whole game is cell shaded giving it that cartoon feel but that never bothered me, nor did the orb collecting which ruined it for some but I enjoyed it.scoring a generous 84 on meta it done better then the sequel, which to be fair is just the same * +
