Couldn't refuse this after seeing it for 7.99. Wanted it for ages but was always deterred by the rumoured length of the game and while this isn't far from the truth, these claims have been stretched too far and the game has other factors that make it more then just another cr*ppy next gen sonic outing.

it takes the old sonic games and revamps them into 2.5D and instead of a similar outing for the second acts, it allows you to play through a fully 3D rendering of that particular zone. the beautifully reworked chemical zone from sonic 2 for example. sonic generations takes 9 levels across several sonic games (sonic 1,sonic 2, sonic and knuckles, sonic adventure, sonic adventure 2, sonic heroes, sonic 2006, sonic unleashed and sonic colours) * +

even though each zone has two acts, I do feel they could of added so much more. there are challenge levels too which allow you to complete certain challenges across variations of previously played levels but their biggest mistake was not to include casino night as a level. sonic had tons of fantastic levels without having to include zones from sonic unleashed. little collectibles like the mega drive are a nice touch, its just a shame the 2D levels can be a bit too quick for the screen * +

Got it. Its not bad but Mario totally smashes it. And im not the only 1 that thinks so as Mario games are rated higher AND sell more * +
