Yoichi Wada, CEO of Square Enix, shot down any possibilities of a FF VII remake when he told investors the FF team isn't good enough to pull it off. Basically he's saying, Square Enix is s**t at developing games. A FF VII remake will come if and when Square can make a FF game that surpasses or is on par with FF games from the PSX era. * +

Because using all the same script etc but modernising the graphics needs equal or more skill then went into creating the original work? And if you agree with the majority who felt FF6 was the best of all then why were they ready to remake that a few times? * +
