Ok mate of mine is willing to sell me his slim for only 60 quid, but the problem is he said it sometimes doesn't play games or read Blu ray discs as coz he thinks it might be the dvd drive problem, so I was thinking if it was easy fix I could get that, fix it and sell it at higher price..... So easy fix or it? * +

And prob not worth the bother Kas. I'm assuming you'd have to replace the drive. Though if it's a DVD drive no wonder it doesn't work properly

Isn't worth the hassle if something goes wrong... Replacement drive will probably be 30 odd quid, installing isn't difficult if you're comfortable with that kind of thing - removing screws and being careful not to tear ribbon cables. New PS3s aren't much over 100 quid so the profit will beall for the time spent, you'd be better off with a paper round * +
