My son liked the young ones for its randomness. It's old now (i heard rumors of a reboot) but do you remember the Tripods?

Set in a future world, the coming of age for all teens is to have a control cap installed on their heads. Involves giant tripod things, obviously. * +

Yeah I really vaguely remember tripods.... 3 legged mechanical things.. And the title..... I don't remember anything else about it.... I tend to find that when I revisit old TV shows they're kinda disappointing... * +
