Spoiler alert .. For those that haven't seen this yet stop reading. Just watched it myself and confused .. Why when Dan Evans (Bale) is being choked out by Ben Wade (Crowe) does Ben decide to willingly go to the train and be captured by Dan ..? Something about Dan wanting to be a hero ..? So yea it sucks Dan gets shot down at the end but for Ben to murder his whole gang off.. Really? Just seemed to devalue everything his gang had done in pursuing their boss during the film. Started well .. Smooth in the middle .. Dodgy towards the end .. Ending in confusion .. 3/5 * +

If you've seen the original then your more likely to know the outcome and that remake is at least 10 years old. * +

The remake in question is 2007. Not seen the original. Just found the ending quite strange * +

Wade decide to willingly go to the train and be captured by Dan because firstly it's really easy for Wade to escape Yuma, he had done it twice before, and when Dan told him how he was a coward, and wanted to redeem himself so he wouldn't feel guilty in front of his children. I think it reminded Wade of his own father, and how got shot so easily, died a coward's death, knowing how he viewed his father made him realize how dan would feel and he was inspired by Alice, Dan's wife, as to how she would happily live a deadbeat ranch and take care of her children, whilst his own mother abandoned him... He in short was really inspired. He murdered his own gang because Dan, and especially his son made him realize the goodness that was left in him, and he developed a very special bond with Dan, as his crew killed the man who inspired him so much, in a fit of rage, he killed all of them. The movie makes perfect sense, and the ending was brilliant.. * +

Apart from him killing his whole gang off .. Sucks to be them .. How would they know about his sudden change of heart. They were just trying to rescue their boss by any mean possible which is what Ben Wade would've surely wanted them to do. * +

Well Ben Wade isn't one to take logical actions when he is mad, and that's the point of this character. He killed that officer because he would keep singing, and not let him sleep, he killed pinkerton 'cause he abused his mother. Thing is he felt that same rage when his crew killed Dan. * +

He told em to stop, but the number 2 guy killed him anyway... So he killed him, and them for not following orders. It was out of respect, he respected Evans and his reasons for wanting to do it. He knew he'd escape anyway. *
