Thought it was okay but all the way through I was thinking it would have been much better if Tim Burton would have done it. The story is basically about a illusionist who claims he's a magician who gets taken off by a storm to oz where he becomes involved in a prophecy that claims a great wizard will save oz from the wicked witch. Thought it could have been much better but it was fun, his two companions the monkey butler and a china doll were no match for the scarecrow tin man and lion. * +

I think a little change is good, Tim Burton would just have chosen depp and carter again as the main character, plus make the movie dark. I like James Franco, great actor. * +

I read that mgm own the rights to wizard of oz and Disney didn't tell them that they were making a prequel so mgm found out and scared Disney with a law suit if they use too much of the wizard of oz story so Disney had to use as little of the story as they could. Not sure how they got away with the name oz, the munchkins, the witches and the tornado though. Apparently they are in a legal battle. Personally I think it's a load of rubbish and it's a publicity stunt. * +

i am so sick of tim burton.his movies suck.we already know whos going to be in them.he hasnt had an original thought in so long .his remakes of w*lly wonka an alice were misrable to watch and frankenweenie really? look it up its just a remake of guess what a tim burton film he did in the 80's hes the biggest problem with hollywood today ..absolutly no original thinking just remake this and remake that * +

Stfu, Alice in the wonderland and Charlie and the chocolate factory were absolutely amazing, the remakes were as good as if not better than the original. Johnny Depp played both the roles perfectly. And no, they are far from being remakes from 80's, each movie he comes up with is original and awesome in its own way. Frankenweenie was awesome too, just 'cause you don't like the type of movies he make doesn't make him a bad director who makes filler movies, take your s**t elsewhere, he is brilliant. * +

I have watched every single 16 movies he directed, apart from Dark Shadows, there was not one movie even if a remake, that bored me. In fact he only made the remakes much more interesting and fantastic by adding more horror, Gothic and fantasy elements to 'em, then again Burton's stuff is not for everyone. But I love the guy, he created characters like Edward scissorhands, Sweeney Todd, Jack Skellington, and his own versions of Willie Wonka and the legendary Joker, these guys shaped my childhood, how could you possibly hate the guy? * +
