my favourite 2 endings have to be in THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION when andy greets red on the beach after he leaves prison and in DEVILS REJECTS when the firefly family go out in a blaze of glory whilst driving top speed towards the cops as lynard skynards freebird is playing * +

The quiet earth an early 80s sci fi film about a scientist who is working on a scientific energy project that leaves him and another man and women the only people left on earth. after destroying the base which houses the project zac (the scientist) wakes up on a beach with alien looking clouds and slowly a planet that looks like saturn rises on the horizon and zac stares in awe * +
