cant help feeling that along with Hollywood having lost the nerve to make original films these days, the quality level has gone way down too. i guess cost so much to make that they need to be sure of audience interest before they push the b*tton on films today. but now we sit and wait for films to finally come out and their pretty much a let down. once you've walked out the theatre the purely visual specticle is over and you wonder what all the hype was for. * +

so called blockbusters these days are paper thin in their appeal. where's the art of storytelling gone ? think about close encounters, e.t., jaws, star wars etc. you can watch these films more than once. and they weren't trailed six months in advance of release in order to wet our appetites. is it just me who finds this ? i'm not much into horror films so new releases dont leave much on offer. name some good films i've missed that break the trend pls. * +

the new horrors are mostly shyte too. cant think of a new one that made me go wow. twist at the end of the orphan was good though. * +

i just watched a film not sure if its out yet,arena its called hadnt heard of it before,samuel l jackson is in it,its about blokes being kidnapped and being made to fight to the death,dont get me wrong its no shaw shank,but worth a watch * +

i guess they just got drowned by all the cr*p we see these days...talking about horrors, i was a big fan, but now i just cant watch them,...they all look the same * +
