Watched the first two again, disliked 3 and hearing about the 4th installment which is called mad max-fury road, this hasn't got Mel Gibson in which I'm in two frames of mind about, did they approach him? Surely Mel Gibson is still suitable enough to play a wiser, older max? Or are they worried it'll end up making Mel look like Harrison ford or Sylvester Stallone, flogging a dead horse? Either way I'm gonna watch it * +

No it's because Mel had a pop at the Jews, and that answering machine thing. Max 2 was best, then 1, Thunderdome not so much. * +

I remember that scene in weird science where the mutant bikers crash the party, Vernon wells aka Lord general from mad max 2 comes in with several others, one of which is Michael berryman from the hills have eyes. as they leave the mutant bird on a leash says 'beautiful house' and berryman says 'can we keep this between us? I'd hate to lose my teaching job'

haven't seen mad max 1 in over twenty years so when I saw it again it felt like I was watching it for the first time. the film is set in an apocalyptic Australia but to be honest they done a cr*p job of making the viewer believe it, plentiful supplies of petrol, power axm beer coupled with law and order, if not fragile, mad max 2 definitely felt more wasteland * +

I thought mad max 1 was pre apocalyptic? It was just about some bikers who did some horrible s**t which made him mad: thus 'mad' max. The woman makes a vague reference to nuclear war in the future? * +
